Some wines are born in boardrooms. Merf wasn’t. This one started with David “Merf” Merfield, an Iowa farm kid turned Washington winemaker, whose story mixes hard work, grit, and a dash of rock & roll. We built the label to feel the same way—honest, approachable, and unpolished. It feels personal, right down to the colored bars that we pulled from a vintage car catalog as a nod to Merf’s first love—his bitchin’ ’72 Chevy Camaro. It stands apart from the crowded “first-name” wine shelf not because it’s trying too hard, but because it’s clearly its own thing.
